The AlUla Royal Commission has forged a partnership with France’s Centre Pompidou, marking a significant step in cultural collaboration. This alliance aims to bolster cultural cooperation, with the goal of establishing a contemporary art museum in AlUla by 2027, as reported by SPA.

This new executive program agreement, rooted in long-term collaboration, focuses on exchanging expertise, transferring skills, and developing a comprehensive cooperation strategy. This strategy aims to mutually enhance arts, culture, science, and heritage. As a platform for cultural collaboration, this program sets priorities, proposes initiatives, and outlines activities for the coming years. It includes the exchange, acquisition, lending, and exhibition of artworks and handicrafts between the RCU and Centre Pompidou.

Moreover, the AlUla Royal Commission has forged a partnership that supports various scientific and cultural initiatives. This partnership stresses the importance of shared participation to bolster collaboration. This program builds on the agreement signed in March between the RCU and Centre Pompidou, outlining the development of the AlUla contemporary art museum through multiple stages, leading to its opening in 2027. Notably, Lina Ghotmeh has been appointed as the lead architect for the museum’s design.

This partnership is a milestone in the RCU’s plan for the new museum, providing a solid framework for ongoing collaboration. This initiative underlines a commitment to mutual cultural enrichment, paving the way for a vibrant future in arts and heritage preservation.
