In a wave of congratulatory messages, Gulf countries showered praise on Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud following Saudi Arabia’s triumphant bid to host World Expo 2030 in the vibrant city of Riyadh.

Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah conveyed heartfelt congratulations to King Salman, emphasizing that this remarkable achievement brings pride not only to Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) members but also to sisterly Arab nations. He hailed it as a testament to the international community’s immense confidence in the Kingdom’s organizational prowess and its ability to host grand global events.

Similar sentiments echoed from Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah in a cable to King Salman, expressing joy and admiration for the Kingdom’s success.

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, along with Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, joined the chorus of congratulations, acknowledging the significance of Saudi Arabia’s Expo 2030 win.

Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa described the success as a manifestation of the Kingdom’s prominent international standing and lauded the close ties between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. He wished for continuous progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

Oman, through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed confidence in Saudi Arabia’s capabilities to organize Expo 2030, anticipating regional benefits and heightened appeal for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in hosting major international events.

Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, GCC Secretary General, hailed King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed for Riyadh’s successful bid, highlighting the Kingdom’s distinguished international position and professionalism in event organization.

Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Hussein Ibrahim Taha praised the relentless efforts of the Saudi leadership, seeing Riyadh’s Expo win as a triumph not only for the Kingdom but for the entire Islamic world.

The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) Director-General Dr. Salim M. Al-Malik applauded Saudi Arabia’s latest achievement under the leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed. He saw the event as a showcase of the success of Vision 2030, envisioning Riyadh among the world’s top 10 cities.

Arab Parliament Speaker Adel Al-Asoomi added his congratulations, viewing Riyadh Expo 2030 as a substantial Arab achievement that solidifies Saudi Arabia’s global standing in trade, culture, and development.
