Dark room techniques: Embark on a 3-day immersive journey into the world of darkroom techniques led by Marwan El Mozayen.

What you’ll gain: Delve into the transformative space of the darkroom, where each image’s processing narrates a tale of rejuvenation and interconnectedness. Learn essential darkroom techniques for developing photographic prints from exposed film. Techniques such as dodging and burning will be explored, allowing you to highlight or obscure elements and gain a fresh perspective on the constructed environment. Additionally, uncovers the unexpected harmony between analog machinery, time-honored techniques, and the theme of renewal and rejuvenation encapsulated in this Biennale’s theme: “After Rain.”

This workshop spans three days, with details as follows: Day 1: 27 March (from 9:00 PM – 12:00 AM) Day 2: 28 March (from 9:00 PM – 12:00 AM) Day 3: 29 March (from 9:00 PM – 12:00 AM) Location: All sessions will take place at the Public Programs Building in Workshop 1.
