Dr. Awad Bin Mohammed Salem Al-Awlaqi, born in 1974, is a Saudi Arabian writer, critic, and novelist. He earned his high school diploma from Imam Ali bin Abi Talib School and went on to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language with a specialization in Rhetoric and Criticism from Umm Al-Qura University in 2000. He achieved a Master’s degree in Arabic Literature and Rhetoric in 2012, followed by a Ph.D. in the same field in 2020, both from the Islamic University of Madinah, with first-class honors for both. Professionally, Dr. Awad has served in various educational roles within Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Education and currently works in the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu schools in Yanbu Industrial City.

His publications include a commentary on Diwan Zhi Al-Rumma, published in Beirut in 2019, and a collection of short stories titled “Sam al-Khayyat,” published in Jordan in 2020. Dr. Awad has received several literary awards and is a member of the Association of Literature and Authors in Madinah.
