Four Cultural Events Celebrating the Saudi Founding Day

The celebration of the founding of the first Saudi state by Imam Muhammad bin Saud is set to take place from February 21 to 26. The Saudi Ministry of Culture has announced a series of cultural and historical events commemorating the Foundation Day, including:

  1. “Foundation Nights” Event:
    • A poetic and musical evening held on February 21 and 22 at the Abu Bakr Salem Theater in Boulevard City, Riyadh.
    • Bringing together elite poets and artists to present the most impactful poems and songs that have resonated with the Saudi people throughout history.
  2. “Symphony of Beginnings” Event:
    • Taking place on February 25 and 26 at the Abu Bakr Salem Theater in Boulevard City.
    • The ministry will celebrate with a musical orchestra incorporating Saudi instruments, narrating the story of the establishment of the Saudi state. Renowned Saudi poets, composers, and the National Music Band will participate in the performance.
  3. “Path of History” Event:
    • A journey showcasing 19 scenes representing the timeline of Saudi Arabia’s history from 1727 to the present day.
    • Comprising three zones: “The Gathering” with palm oasis sessions, a diverse heritage performance arts stage, henna tents, and snack areas; “The Journey” and “The Celebration.”
    • Featuring a music stage, multiple photography zones, and a concluding drone show on the first day, starting from King Fahd Road, east of the King Abdullah Financial Center (KAFD).
  4. “Foundation Village” Event:
    • Taking place from February 22 to 24 in 14 cities and provinces across the Kingdom.
    • Showcasing traditional crafts, a culture square highlighting significant stories and achievements from the founding period, an interactive children’s area, family entertainment with puzzles and games, and a food area offering the authentic taste of Saudi heritage.
    • Diverse cultural activities covering heritage, oral traditions, and digital events will also be featured.
