“The Golden Era of Saudi Culture” ushers in 2024 with a resolve to embrace new opportunities and bolster our progress. At the Ministry of Culture, our journey, inspired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, thrives on Saudi ingenuity and diverse heritage. Five and a half years in, this journey has seen remarkable gains, institutionalizing our cultural sector in unique ways. Our dreams have turned into reality, fueled by leadership support, partnerships with Saudi intellectuals, and the dedication of young Saudis in the cultural realm.

Every cultural sector branch works as one united team. We’ve launched 500 initiatives, and established 11 cultural commissions, and 25 cultural institutions. Our cultural narrative has reached international forums, enhancing cultural exchange and showcasing Saudi culture’s historical richness.

Saudi Arabia’s Cultural Ascendancy: A Journey Towards Global Recognition and National Pride

Globally, our partnerships have expanded, making the Kingdom a cultural and artistic hub. We promote culture worldwide, receiving international support. Our journey enhances national identity with transformative initiatives, over 4000 cultural events, and 11 million visitors. Cultural awareness has risen significantly, with 92% of residents recognizing its importance. The private sector’s investment in culture has doubled, boosting our GDP contribution.

“The Golden Era of Saudi Culture” has seen the cultural system exceed three 2030 targets: graduate numbers, employment in cultural sectors, and international event participation. These achievements reflect our system’s adaptability and innovative capacity. Our response to COVID-19 exemplifies this resilience.

In 2024, we aim to build on these successes amidst global shifts. We focus on culture for creativity, economic growth, and national pride. Our priorities include incentivizing innovation, increasing awareness, and strengthening international partnerships. We strive to integrate culture into public policies and protect global heritage.

As we continue towards Saudi Vision 2030, we are committed to enriching lifestyles, reinforcing national identity, and fostering global cultural dialogue. Our journey, aligned with the aspirations of our leadership and nation, celebrates and preserves culture as a civilizational responsibility.
